The Mission Behind Geeljire

Millions of Somali diaspora children are growing up disconnected from their mother tongue. Mainstream language apps like Duolingo don't support Somali — leaving an entire community without a modern, digital way to learn their language. Geeljire was built to change that.

We built GEELJIRE as a full-stack EdTech platform using React and Node.js — a Duolingo-class experience designed specifically for Somali. Structured lessons, gamified practice, authentic native audio, traditional Gabay poetry, and 1-on-1 tutoring, all in one place.
